An investor in Kyrgyzstan wanted to build a pasta factory from scratch, with no prior experience in pasta production. In 2008 the company commissioned Talia Makina's 500 kg/h turnkey short-cut line. The installation is one of the first turnkey projects of Talia Makina, founded in 2007; the line has been in production for 18 years.

In 2008, an investor in Kyrgyzstan wanted to build a pasta plant from scratch. With no prior experience in pasta production, the company was not looking for a supplier that delivers the machinery and leaves, but for a turnkey partner that builds the plant and brings it to production readiness.
The project was realized with Talia Makina's 500 kg/h short-cut pasta line: line design, manufacturing, shipment, on-site installation, commissioning and operator training were carried out from a single source. This installation is one of the first turnkey projects of Talia Makina, founded in 2007.
The line runs on Siemens PLC-based automation, with Siemens components in the panels as well. All product-contact surfaces are made of food-grade AISI 304 stainless steel. The line produces a wide range of short-cut pasta shapes; a round-die change yields dozens of different shapes on the same line. In continuous operation the theoretical capacity reaches 12 tons per day.
In a plant built from scratch, the most critical stage is preparing the team for production: during commissioning, hands-on operator training was delivered on site and the first production period was supervised. Thanks to recipe-based automation, even an inexperienced team reached consistent production quality in a short time.
Commissioned in 2008, the line has been in production for 18 years and ranks among Talia Makina's longest-running references. Our presence in Central Asia did not stop there: in neighboring Uzbekistan we have installed seven lines across three factories since 2014. Kyrgyzstan is one of the first links in the turnkey installations we have delivered in 18 countries since 2007.

How long do Talia Makina lines keep running?
The line in Kyrgyzstan has been in production since 2008, the line in Ukraine since 2013 and the first line in Uzbekistan since 2014. With regular maintenance and original spare parts, the lines run efficiently for well over 15 years.
What automation infrastructure does the line use?
Siemens PLC-based automation is used, and the panel components are Siemens as well. Process and recipe management from raw-material dosing to drying runs automatically.
What does the warranty cover?
All our lines are delivered with a 24-month standard warranty covering parts and workmanship. After the warranty, our spare-parts supply and technical support program continues.
Does Talia Makina have other installations in Central Asia?
Yes. In neighboring Uzbekistan, seven lines have been installed across three separate factories since 2014 (six in operation, the seventh being commissioned in September 2026). Together with the 2008 installation in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia is one of our longest-standing reference regions.
